Better source images
Reduce visual noise before adding more colors
A larger grid can preserve small shapes, but it also creates more stitches and more isolated color changes. Start with the smallest width that still preserves the motif.
Crop empty space and increase contrast in the source image when the subject blends into its background. Tapestry Grid does not invent hidden edges or replace your crochet judgment.
